Logical victory for Ocon in the French Cup

The weather was threatening, but dark clouds still managed to contain the raindrops for the start of the French Cup. Still leading, Esteban Ocon (Exprit / Vortex) had Remy Deguffroy (Tony Kart / Vortex) glued to his bumper. Ingrid Girard (Energy / TM) was 3rd ahead of Victor Compere (FA Kart / Vortex) and Lucile Cypriano (FA Kart / Vortex).

Two duels animated the race, Ocon / Deguffroy and Girard / Compere. Deguffroy committed a small mistake and was left slightly behind by Ocon. He was then joined by Girard and Compere who set the fastest time to take 3rd position. This was how it stayed until lap 11, when Deguffroy closed back on the leader. He attacked on lap 14, but Ocon defended. Then Compere took 2 places at once, but Deguffroy took the lead when the grip dropped after a few drops of rain.

Ocon was able to return to the lead ahead of Deguffroy and Compere, with Girard returned  to 3rd. Esteban Ocon won and Victor Compere and Ingrid Girard completed the podium, then Flouret, Barbe, Cypriano and Marques.
