The sun pierced the clouds gradually at Argenton, the Angevin temperature was mild, and it is 11:20 on Saturday October 2 for the official qualifying for the U18 World Championship. With the first reference time, 54”151, Teemu Suninen (Maranello) led Group 1 in front of Jake Dennis (Top Kart), the two co-leaders of the Championship. John Norris (Intrepid) joined him in third position and the Franco American Vincent Fraïsse (Intrepid) who was now 4th.

Group 2 were next on track, Ville Mäntyllä (Energy) and Matias Köykkä (Maranello) entered the scene, but the British drivers Adam Stirling (Intrepid), Sam Snell (Intrepid) and Henry Easthope (Sodi) pulled themselves together. Alex Baron (Sodi) was in the battle as well. Köykkä finished in first position, with the absolute best time: 54”147. Mäntyllä was 2nd, Stirling 3rd, Baron 4th and Snell 5th.
