The KF2 World Championship, the first of its kind, is under way at Zuera. On Friday morning, the autumn fog hung over Aragon and there was rain for the final free practice. Thursday was disrupted by a few showers and many drivers stayed in the pits. The weather will have a say in the running of the competition with a very wet forecast for Friday non-qualifying practice until 1630 and the decisive time trials which are likely to happen in the wet, just to complicate the task.

Qualifying races are on the Saturday program for the two distinct groups who will not directly compete on track. At the end of the 10 races of the day, 3 per driver, we will already know the list of 34 finalists, with 90 competitors eliminated … The weather should be damp in the morning, improving in the afternoon.

Sunday is the big day of the World Championship, or more accurately the morning because the winner will be announced around 12:30 pm, after the final. The 12-lap pre-final will start at 9:55, in the sun it seems, and the final on 18 laps, broadcast live on Eurosport, will kick off at 12noon.

At the time of writing, the fog has lifted, the rain stopped and pieces of blue sky are breaking through the cloud cover.
