WSK World Series American Round has begun in Millville (New Jersey) with free practice. After two days of knowledge of the track, the first results are expected tomorrow with the Official Practice and the qualifying heats.

Millville (New Jersey, USA), July 30th 2010

WSK World Series, American round in progress. The American leg of the WSK World Series is in full swing, on the circuit of Millville, New Jersey, with the series of free practice that started yesterday, the drivers of the four categories in competition. In Super KF, KZ2, KF2 and KF3, the New Jersey Motorsports Park is playing the central moment of the season. This weekend could be decisive for the final victory, in view of the final stage in Sharm el Sheik, Egypt.

A new circuit for WSK drivers. It is called F1 New Jersey circuit and in this weekend comes to on the international karting scene. The circuit of Millville is brand new to all European drivers, particularly involved in these testing days. All of them are studying the secrets of 1700 meters track which, unlike most circuits, turns counterclockwise. Reasons why is not yet been possible to hazard predictions on the drivers rated for victory: for that reason, will certainly be more indicative the official practice of tomorrow morning, prior to the qualifying heats.

Drivers improve in every session. On this basis, in each round of practice there are clear improvements in lap times, as it increases the confidence of the drivers with the circuit. In addition to this, today has brought a much more favorable climate: from 90°F yesterday it’s down to 84°F today, but with a drastic reduction in the level of humidity. So the sunny climate, but much cooler, helped to make progress: the drivers topped the rankings have not failed to confirm the performance as well as their opponents have exposed significant performance.

From tomorrow official rankings. The first results from Millville will arrive tomorrow, starting from Official Practice. Ready to defend their leadership are Dutch Nyck De Vries (Zanardi-Parilla-Vega Super KF), Belgian Jonathan Thonon (CRG-Maxter-Dunlop KZ2), English Chris Lock (Tony Kart-Vortex-Vega KF2) and Romanian Robert Visoiu (Tony Kart-Vortex-Dunlop).
