Duel in prospect between Suninen and Dennis

The hierarchy of U18 wasn’t changed by the last three qualifying heats on Sunday morning under bright sunshine at Wackersdorf. However, late Saturday night Jordan Chamberlain (Intrepid) was excluded from the meeting for repeated dangerous driving, so this was a contender for the title who disappeared.

Teemu Suninen (Maranello) was leading with equal points, victories and second places with Jake Dennis. Sam Snell (Intrepid) and John Norris (Intrepid) completed the British rule on German soil. Fortunately the French drivers Vincent Fraisse (Intrepid) and Alex Baron (Sodi) were not far away, in 5th and 6th.

The Austrian Julian Wagner (Mach 1) was ahead of Thailand’s Tanart Sathienkirul (Intrepid) and the German Luca Stolz (Mach 1). In 10th, Jiri Forman lost places after a collision with Andrick Zeen (Sodi), which cost the American qualification in the competitive category.

Mathieu Jaminet (Sodi) managed to recover to 13th position after his worries on Saturday, Simone Favaro (Parolin) in 14th was very fast in the dry, and Matias Koykka (Maranello) showed good potential but encountered some problems. There was a good performance from Alexander Walker (Intrepid) in 17th. Henry Easthope (Sodi) confirmed with 17th, ahead of another excellent driver, Spaniard Adrian Del Rio (PCR). Ville Mantyla (Energy) was unlucky and the 26th position didn’t reflect his performances. For France, Anthony Micoud (Intrepid) and John Barbe (Tecno) are also in the final.
