The KF2 have already contested four of their 10 qualifying heats on Saturday morning for the European Championship. Genk is deemed highly technical, especially during the starts. The first heat began with a festival of crashes, but the drivers quickly calmed down afterwards. Maybe they were worried about the cameras?

Still, the Finn Teemu Suninen (Maranello / Maranello) was the current leader of the standings, but he has only raced in one heat, while Sébastien Bailly (Kosmic / Vortex) has finished 1st and 2nd, which puts him as the favorite at this time. Denis Dupont (Tony Kart / Vortex), another Belgian, maintains the pace in 4th position. But Ignazio D’Agosto (Tony Kart / Vortex) is coming back after his 13th in qualifying: 4th in his first race, he won the next. Michelle Gatting (CRG / Maxter) has again come to the forefront.

If Bailly and D’Agosto have starred so far, we must also mention the Austrian Thomas Jager (Birel / BMB) in 3rd and the Briton Tom Joyner (Gillard / TM) 9th as the revelations of the early competitions. Karol Basz (RK / BMB) and Sami Luka (Energy / TM) are as always on the list of contenders.

Among the disappointments: Sergei Sirotkin (Tony Kart / Vortex) 68th, Jorge Pescador (Tony Kart / Vortex) 67th, Jordon Lennox-Lamb (Birel / BMB) 66th, Tanart Sathienthirakul (Tony Kart / TM) 65th, Jacob Nortoft (FA Kart / Vortex) 59th and Kevin Munkholm (Birel / BMB) 55th have the desire to do better in the next races.

In French, the situation is hardly glorious. It Bluy Clement (Tony Kart / Vortex) who is doing the best after his 24th time on the clock, it currently points to the 25th rank. Author of 187me chrono, Alex Baron (Sodi / Parilla) had lost valuable places in both races in the morning and occupied the 52nd place. It’s not easy for pilots Intrepid / TM Fraïsse Réguillon and are barely mentioned in pure performance.

The afternoon will be hot and crucial as qualified pilots will be announced at the end of the day.
