Kosmic double in Super KF Prefinal

We expected a duel between Armand Convers (Kosmic / Vortex) and Nyck De Vries (Zanardi / Parilla) for the prefinal of the Super KF at Portimao. Ben Cooper (Kosmic / Vortex) was very well placed in second of the interior line, but Kozlinski (CRG / Maxter) would use his talent to counter the ambitions of his opponents. The departure once again was decisive.

Convers at the head, Cooper second, De Vries on the outside, this was not new. Felice Tiene (CRG / Maxter) took third ahead of Davide Fore (CRG / Maxter), Sauro Cesetti (Birel / BMB) and Kozlinski. Nyck was 10th. Vigano and Gromanova were missing. Cesetti passed Fore, Koko was under pressure. Laura Tillett (Tony Kart / Vortex) followed in seventh position in front of De Vries.

Convers flew with a 1.1” lead on lap 4 with Cooper himself 1.1”in front of Tiene, but De Vries was fastest. He had taken Fore, but he took him back. Kozlinski regained ground upon the road and was now pushing 3rd placed Cesetti. De Vries had finally found the opening on Fore, and was 6th with Tiene in his line of sight. Koko tried to pass Cesetti, De Vries took Tiene and Fore also took the opportunity to pass his young teammate, who soon had to face Simo Puhakka (PCR / TM).

The Kosmic lead was insolent, more than 2 seconds each. De Vries returned to Koko who could not pass Cesetti, although he was faster. The finish was close, but the positions would no longer change. Convers 1st, Cooper 2nd, Cesetti 3rd, Kozlinski 4th, De Vries 5th and Fore 6th.
