With Luke Varley and Ignazio D’Agosto, there were two Tony Kart / Vortex first for the prefinal in KF2. The outside line was still struggling to get on the right line. Clouds of dust were over the drivers out on the track. Varley continued to lead while D’Agosto was in 7th. Karol Basz (RK / BMB), took second place ahead of Jordan King (Birel / BMB), Yu Kanamaru (Tony Kart / Vortex) and Gustavo Menezes (Tony Kart / Vortex).

Varley dropped slightly, and the next three, Basz, King and Kanamaru, stayed together, followed by a few lengths by Chris Lock and Menezes (Tony Kart / Vortex). King took Basz who was also dislodged by Kanamaru. D’Agosto moved to attack Menezes, and he took sixth. King fell to 7th when Kanamaru passed, ahead were Giovinazzi and Gatting.

D’Agosto continued attacking: He took Lock for 4th place. There were four laps to go and Kanamru, 3rd, seemed out of reach by more than one second. Giovinazzi passed Basz who was now directly threatened by Lock. Varley won the race by a long way ahead of Kanamaru and D’Agosto. Giovinazzi finished 4th, 5th was Lock and Michelle Gatting (CRG / Maxter) was 6th on the wire. Note the strong recovery of Sébastien Bailly (Kosmic / Vortex) from the 21st to the 10th position.
