U18: D-28 Jesolo

Its beaches, its lido… and its Karting circuit : Jesolo, a touristic coast town close to Venice, has an international reputation… to which the “Pista Azzurra” is not foreign. The Jesolo track is really part of the historical Karting hauts-lieux. Several World Championships and very many European Championships took place there, as well as the famous “Race of Champions”, the most reputed classic non-Championship race in the 1970’s and 80’s.

The Motor Point company was born in 1993 from the experience of Gianluca Giacchetto and the well-known passion of Francesco Calzavara, mayor of Jesolo and owner of the circuit. Motor Point set up on the Karting circuit and disposes there of 400 m2 of premises entirely dedicated to Karting.
Specialised in engine tuning and chassis setups, Gianluca Giacchetto accompanied and assis- ted many young Drivers in their Karting careers, both in international Championships and in the very competitive Italian Championship.

Long related to Birel chassis-wise, the Motor Point company launched its own range of karts in 2003 and subsequently obtained a homologation by the CIK-FIA. When it came down to finding a name for this new chassis, the matter was rapidly settled as the choice of “Jesolo” was quite natural.

For many years, Motor Point has also had the CIK-FIA approve the Syntower lubricants for 2-stroke engines. On decision of the supplier of Parolin engines, the Syntower Synthetic P7 will in fact be the oil mixed to the “E10” Panta fuel in the WKE engines to be used in the CIK-FIA “U18” World Championship and in the FIM engines to be used in the CIK-FIA Karting Academy Trophy.
