Lammers the warrior:  victory and title!

Race 2 was decisive for the KZ1 title with a duel between Jeremy Iglesias and Bas Lammers. Iglesias took the lead while leaving a little space for Lammers, Renaudie, Mich and De Brabander fought behind. The first lap saw Iglesias ahead of Mich, De Brabander, Abbasse, Lammers and Renaudie. Mich took 1st place under braking at the end of the straight. Lammers picked up fourth position at the expense of Abbasse within a very tight leading group.

Iglesias took the lead on lap 4, but Lammers took the opportunity to return to third. He was the fastest on te track and the duel of the Intrepids was looming. Lammers took Mich on the 5th lap then he took over the lead, then Iglesias replied. Very heated! Lammers was back in the lead. Mich took Abbasse and earned a position passing De Brabander but Abbasse dropped behind Renaudie. The two Intrepid drivers took the parabolica side by side, incredible! In 3rd, Mich was always alert to attacks at the hairpin after the start.

De Brabander attacked Mich for 3rd place, and Abbasse also had a go. Piccini who took up the fight to get back to 6th position. Lammers led the race for several laps, closing the door with Iglesias on his heels. Two laps before the end Iglesias became more menacing in a daring attempt on Lammers, but he couldn’t avoid going off! It was all over for Iglesias’ title attempt. Lammers finally won the race and the title ahead of De Brabander, Mich, Abbasse and Piccini.
