KZ2: Visser takes a historic victory

The front row was explosive for the start of race 1 in KZ2: Lucati and Pesce were neck and neck, followed by Visser and Fuchs … Pesce started flawlessly ahead of Fuchs, Visser and Midrla while the start was without problem for almost all competitors.

Lucati quickly recovered 4th place, Visser attacked by the campsite and took 2nd place on lap 3. She the closed on the leader Pesce and without hesitation passed at the entrance to the parabolica. Awesome! She hurried to build a small gap to protect against a foreseeable attack from Pesce. Fuchs and Lucati were gaining on the French driver. For now Lucati moved to third position ahead of Fuchs and Midrla. Tilloca advanced to sixth ahead of De Conto, ceding two places at once in favor of Pizzuti and Gaillard.

By mid-race, Pesce closed on Visser again and seemed more at ease in second position. It was true that first place is not easy to keep at Varennes. Pesce also had to watch his back with the return of Lucati in his wake. In 7th, Gaillard just passed Tilloca. Pesce was always very close to taking Visser at the hairpin after the start, ready to overtake, but perhaps he was waiting until the last minute?

In fact the gap between the first two varied from one lap to another. With two laps to go, Visser managed to get away a little, while Lucati felt pressure from Pizzuti at his heels. It was a win for Beitske Visser, victory belongs to her and to no other, and she got a standing ovation … Pesce was 2nd, 3rd was Lucati from Pizutti, Fuchs, Midrla, Gaillard and Tilloca.
