Qualifying at Varennes: the sky is blue and the temperatures already high for the start of official timed practice for the second and final round of the European Championship for KZ2. The 53 competitors have had time to prepare since Friday morning as they have had 7 test sessions.

In the first group was the French Auvergne driver Yan Pesce (Energy / TM) with the fastest lap in front of Italian Luca Tilloca (CRG / Maxter) with 52,708 and Swede Viktor Oberg (Gillard / Parilla). The second group, a little faster, was led by Beitske Visser (NL-Intrepid/TM) with 52,511, ahead of Yuri Lucati (I-BRM/TM) and Daniel Fuchs (PL-Birel / TM). Mathieu Gaillard was fastest on his Energy / Maxter in the third session with 52 689, while Ryan Van Der Burgt (NL-Tony Kart / TM) was in second position and Alessandro Spenga (I-Intrepid/TM) in 3rd.

In the overall lap times it was of course Beitske Visser on pole position. Lucati was in second position ahead Gaillard, the first French, then Daniel Fuchs and Yan Pesce.
