It was an electric lineup for the KZ prefinal. The boys were competing against a girl in a high position, 3rd. Would Beitske Visser continue to make excellent starts as she did in the heats? To follow shortly on this screen …

Lammers, Dreezen, Pex, Renaudie and Abbasse were in that order after the first lap, with Visser only 20th, so that’s one answer. Jonathan Thonon was eighth behind Paolo De Conto. Abbasse took 4th place before surrendering to Renaudie while Dreezen was in the lead. Thonon attacked and passed Iglesias, he was 4th. Visser set the fastest lap in her relentless rise.

On lap 5, Thonon jumped up to 2nd place and went on the hunt for the leader Dreezen. Iglesias was back down in 10th position. Thonon took the lead, and Lammers appeared, pressing Dreezen while Abbasse was slightly distanced and De Conto was pushing.

The best lap went to Thonon who escaped with unbelievable speed on lap 9, and De Conto was back in the wheeltracks of Abbasse, in 4th and Jorrit Pex was close behind. Behind them, a trio also provided a show: Roberto Toninelli, Yard Pex and Jérémy Iglesias. Visser was back into the top 10 on lap 12.

Victory went to Jonathan Thonon, with Dreezen 2nd, Lammers 3rd, Pex 4th, Abbasse 5th, De Conto 6th, was the verdict of the finish line of the pre-final.
