The start of the finals went well until turn 4. A spectacular crash with no serious damage caused the slow flags to see if everyone was okay. Spinelli, Rossel, Oomen and Machunskas were stopped there. Albon led in slow motion ahead of Verstappen, Koch and Gasly.

The race restarted on lap 5. Gasly was ejected from the track at the chicane at the top of the circuit and his long passage through the grass cost him 11 places and then retirement. Albon was still ahead of Verstappen, Hansson, Hubert, Niceta and Hoevenaars. Albon already had a lead ahead of Verstappen by 6 / 10 with Hubert and Hoevenaars tailgating. The Dutchman claimed third spot on lap 7. Hubert dropped back again letting Visoiu and Dennis by before giving up.

The race seemed finished after the 10 laps for the top 6: Albon, Verstappen Hoevenaars, Visoiu, Dennis and Orudzhev, the fastest on the track. Visoiu closed on Hoevenaars in the closing laps, but in vain. Erwan Julé, in 13th was the top French.
