Sodi’s Entrance to the European Scene Does Not Go Unnoticed

In a context always difficult, where even the slightest false step can lead to elimination, Sodi Racing Team‘s drivers have demonstrated their remarkable competitiveness in the qualifying round for European KF2 & KF3 Championships.

The best result was achieved by Alex Baron in KF2, with a great 5th place in England, a heat victory at the end of it all. More combative than ever, Alex could rely on first-rate equipment to counter the dominance of British drivers, tremendous in their homeland. “The team worked a lot and my kart was excellent on the PF International circuit, both from the chassis and engine viewpoint. I was able to fight on equal terms against the best drivers and now my morale is sky high!”.

Belgian Sébastien Bailly raced in KF2, in Thy (Denmark), for the Northern region qualification, with performances just as satisfactory: 4th in timed qualifying, a heat victory, some of the fastest laps … pity he could not complete a single lap in the last race. But Sébastien secured his participation in the European Championship anyway, which by the way was his objective for the weekend.

In KF3, mission accomplished for Pierre Gasly despite his 24th place in timed qualifying due to track conditions that were evidently less fast in his group. Showing great lucidity, he managed to exploit the strong points of his ST 32 to find his way back to the lead pack and return to the final Top 10.

Nicola De Cola, SRT team principal, commented:
Sodi showed its new ambitions this weekend in two different meetings, but with the same level of effectiveness. We have been capable of providing our drivers with the equipment they needed to perform at best on the international scene and we have been 100% successful. Our development programme continues as planned thanks to intense efforts by the whole team. We are definitely not going to stop here…
