The die was cast for the best drivers at the European qualifier at the start of the second KF2 race, and some will perhaps be tempted to take more risks to win. At the same time, the lower placed drivers would have to be quick to get in the points.

Macaulay Walsh (RK / TM) took the advantage over Chris Lock (Tony Kart / Vortex), Jordon Lennox-Lamb (Birel / BMB) and Alex Baron (Sodi / Parilla). Luke Varley (Tony Kart / Vortex), was already fifth ahead of Michael Heche (Intrepid / TM). Both drivers passed Baron on lap 2. The race was then stopped by the red flag: Enzo Guibbert went off hard at the first turn, the kart was ruined, and other skirmishes taking place at the bottom of the circuit meant that the track couldn’t be cleared. Everyone returned to the pits. Time was running out for the mechanics who had to mend the chassis damaged in the crash: the race director did not want to give up the 30 minutes allocated for the class.

The second start seemed calmer, but there was still a collision, this time at the second hairpin. Grice led ahead of Walsh, Lock, Baron and Varley. Guibbert and Bowyer did not have time to repair to restart. Lennox-Lamb dropped back on the first lap and Réguillon retired.

Lock took the lead ahead of Grice and Baron. Lennox came back like a rocket to take 5th place from Varley. Sensing the threat Lennox-Lamb of dawn on him, Walsh put pressure on Baron, but Lennox-Lamb still passed, with the fastest lap. Grice was now putting the turbo back on the leader Lock. Baron kept the momentum of third place, but a furious group of 3 approached: Lennox-Lamb, Varley and Walsh.

Around the halfway point, Clement Bluy (Tony Kart / Vortex) was noticed in 19th with the fastest time, while his teammate Victor Sendin had to give up a few laps earlier. Varley took over fourth place from Lennox-Lamb and started chyasing down Baron. Lock moved a bit further ahead of second placed Grice. Varley, Baron, Lennox-Lamb and Walsh were together. Michael Heche had Jordan King (Energy/TM) in the crosshairs for 7th place.

Varley closed on Grice but he still seemed too far ahead. Lennox-Lamb lost ground, and Walsh would have liked to take this opportunity to rob him 4th place. Lock headed for the double, and second place stayed with Grice who finished 2 / 10 from Varley. Lennox-Lamb was 4th, Walsh 5th and Baron 6th.
