The weather is threatening at PF International, and the outlook is very uncertain, but the track was dry at the start of the first race for KF2. Alex Baron (Sodi / Parilla) flew from his third starting position and went ahead of Tom Grice (Maranello / Maxter) from the second corner, followed by Chris Lock (Tony Kart / Vortex), Macaulay Walsh (RK / TM) and then Mitchell Gilbert and Jordan King on Energy / TM, followed by Jordon Lennox-Lamb (Birel / BMB). Enzo Guibbert was severely damaged after a few hundred meters and gave up.
Grice soon attacked Baron, Walsh also passed, but Alex remained in the lead pack. A few lengths back, King took the advantage over his teammate Mitchell, while Michael Heche (Intrepid / TM) threatened Alexander Walker (Tony Kart / TM) for 7th position. Lock took the lead on lap 5, Walsh in his wake. There was a good battle between Baron and Grice, which Lennox-Lamb took the opportunity to join.
The gaps were widening at the front of the race, with Grice 3rd, Lennox-Lamb 4th and Baron 5th. Heche then attacked King for 6th. Luke Varley (Tony Kart / Vortex) recovered by linking fastest laps after a bumpy start that dropped him from 6th to 30th place. He finished ninth. Lock won the race ahead of Walsh and Grice. Lennox-Lamb has been 4th, Baron 5th, Heche 6th.
