At the third round involving the European karting in Zuera, Spain, the goal is to win the Championship. Halfway through the season, the WSK Euro Series moves to Central Europe where the decisive attacks in the race for the European titles will be launched in Spain first and Belgium afterwards. The WSK organization is going to stop off at the Iberian circuit in Zuera. The 1700 m. long track nearby Saragossa is ready to welcome the third round of the year from April 15 to 18.

Super KF, a weekend for revenge. In Muro Leccese, the winner was Italian Marco Ardigò (Tony Kart-Vortex-Vega) and in Lonato French Armand Convers (Kosmic-Vortex-Vega) replied. So in Zuera, the Super KF is in ferment with lots of other drivers hoping for success. Young promising Dutch Nick De Vries (Zanardi-Parilla-Vega) drives fast and works eager for his first victory. Also a veteran driver like Sauro Cesetti, (Birel-BMB-Vega) with the SuperPole in Lonato to his credit is entitled to rank with the favourites. The same goes for English Gary Catt (Tony Kart-Vortex-Vega) who came close to success just at the Lombard circuit. British Ben Cooper (Kosmic-Vortex-Vega) and Belgian Yannick De Brabander (Intrepid-TM-Vega) representing the new generation are competing for the top places them too, along with the outgoing champion French Arnaud Kozlinski (CRG-Maxter-Vega) below them in the ranking. Between all those aiming to oust Convers from a provisional leading position in the Championship, the list of the favourites is really long. And a further surprise may be in store during the Spanish weekend: it’s the nineteen-year-old English Laura Tillett (Tony Kart-TM-Vega) that two Sundays ago, carried out a stirring race always in the leading positions.

Double chase for the title in KZ1 and KZ2. In such an exciting 2010 year, Belgian Jonathan Thonon (CRG-Maxter-Dunlop) leads the top class KZ1, although French Anthony Abbasse (Sodi-TM-Dunlop) newly winner in the previous round in Lonato is chasing him. In the ranking, Abbasse is below Dutch Bas Lammers (Intrepid-TM-Dunlop) who has opened the year by winning the first round in Muro Leccese. Nevertheless, it won’t be only the three leading drivers to attract attention in Zuera: French pursuers such as Jeremy Iglesias (Intrepid-TM-Dunlop) and Manuel Renaudie (PCR-TM-Dunlop) are in hot pursuit and prompt to take their chance of first winning this year.

In KZ2, although Italian Paolo De Conto (Energy-TM-Dunlop) is now the outright leader, blonde Dutch Beitske Visser comes to the fore and is impressively second in the ranking above German Marcel Jeleniowski (Energy-TM-Dunlop).

Unexpected outcome in KF2 and KF3. The competition in the two launching classes grows heated ever more. In KF2, Danish Nicolaj Moller Madsen (Energy-TM-Vega) will have to defend his leadership from Ignazio D’Agosto’s awaited return (Tony Kart-Vortex-Vega). In KF3, Dutch Max Verstappen (CRG-Maxter-Dunlop) is always at the top with his countryman Peter Hoevenaars (Intrepid-TM-Dunlop) following closely.

TV zapping. The WSK Euro Series has established itself as “telegenic”, considering the wide appeal it has for a large number of European TV networks that bring their cameras on the WSK circuits. The permanent appointment is always a special report on Rai Più Sport, broadcast the Friday following every round.
