Slick tires for everyone in the 2nd race of the day for KZ1 at Sarno, but umbrellas turned inside out or even into kits, adding to the troubles of the grid girld who already had to contain their skirts. Pierre Etienne Chaumat pushed his teammate Yannick De Brabander to help start his recalcitrant engine. But the Belgian driver had to go through the pits to fix the problem and resumed his place just in time.

Superb start for Anthony Abbasse to sit just behind the leader, Jérémy Iglesias. Jack Hawksworth stole 3rd position from Bas Lammers who replied before the end of the first lap. Abbasse lost 2 places, and Lammers started to hunt Iglesias. Abbasse was back to 3rd ahead of Thomas Mich, Hawksworth and Renaudie. Lammers moved to head the second lap, but Iglesias was not going to let him get away. Mich took Abbasse and Jorrit Pex closed on Renaudie. Ben Hanley and Alessandro Piccini coveted the 10th position of Hawksworth. Renaudie took Mich back on the 4th lap, then passing Abbasse in the lap 6.

Renaudie outbraked Abbasse to gain 4th place. In front, Lammers was slowly moving away from Iglesias at a rate of a tenth per lap. Renaudie claimed 3rd position to the detriment of Mich. The fastest on the track, Renaudie, reduced the gap to the 2 leaders. On lap 10, Abbasse took Mich. Piccioni was 6th ahead of Pex, Hanley and Piccini. Mich gave up ground, due to a radiator problem.

Last Lap: Renaudie was in the wheeltracks of Iglesias and much faster. He went after him on the straight, but Iglesias blocked easily. The undisputed victory went to Bas Lammers (Intrepid / TM) from Jérémy Iglesias (Intrepid / TM) and Manuel Renaudie (PCR / TM). 4th was Anthony Abbasse (Sodi / TM) from Antonio Piccioni (Parolin / SGM), 6th Ben Hanley (Maranello / Maranello), 7th was Jorrit Pex (CRG / TM), 8th Alessandro Piccini (Intrepid / TM).
