The start was high pressure, with Renaudie next to Lammers, two specialists at it. Despite a tiny hesitation, Lammers led initially, but Renaudie took the lead under braking and Lammers was slightly damaged. Anthony Abbasse was second to Norman Nato and Jorrit Pex. Jonathan Thonon threatened the latter, soon followed by Lammers, Iglesias and De Conto. It was very close between the top 5.

Thonon passed Pex on lap 4. Abbasse took the lead on the next lap, and Nato also took Renaudie and Thonon without losing time. The order, which was very tentative, was as follows on lap 7: Abbasse, Nato, Thonon, Renaudie Iglesias, De Conto, Lammers, Ladic. Pex dropped to 11th position, after losing his air box, rejoined after a decent f1-style pit stop.

At the halfway point, Thonon attacked Nato, while Beitske Visser, in 12th, set the fastest race lap. Abbasse was 4 tenths from Thonon, running 5 hundredths faster than the rest. The Sodi driver reacted and stabilized the gap. Nato and Renaudie remained within reach. With 3 laps to go, the gaps and positions remain stable. Abbasse set the fastest time.

Anthony Abbasse (Sodi/TM) took the victory ahead of Jonathan Thonon (CRG/Maxter), Norman Nato (CRG/Maxter), Manuel Renaudie (PCR/TM) and Jeremy Iglesias (Intrepid/TM), 4 French in the top 5, Jean-Pierre Deschamps, the president of the French CNK, must be thrilled with this at Lonato.
