His followers took turns, but his lead has grew steadily over the laps. First his teammate Joel Johansson was in second, but was soon threatened by Guilherme Silva (Tony Kart / Vortex). Alex Speed (Birel / Parilla) and Brandon Maisano (CRG / Maxter) completed a lively top 5. The Japanese Yu Kanumaru (Tony Kart / Vortex) reappeared to join in the fight.

Moller-Madsen soon began to get away. Silva went into 2nd, and Maïsano return to attack Johansson, followed by Kanumaru. On lap 10 Maïsano was 3rd and went hunting for Speed. Two laps later, the CRG had overtaken the Tony Kart. Kanumaru attacked Speed and passed for 3rd place. Maïsano seemed not be be able to go back to challenge the leader. In fact, he was passed by Kanumaru on the 17th of 25 laps.

In the second group, Gustavo Menezes (Tony Kart / Vortex) was in 5th, ahead of Johansson, Felice Tiene (Kosmic / Vortex) and Abbasse. Baron back down in 11th.the gaps stretched and the race seemed played out. Kanumaru tried to close on the leader on the last lap, but he stayed ahead.
