While the sun was already falling sharply over the surrounding mountains, we were preparing to watch the 1st heat in Super Pro. And it was quite a spectacle, it must be admitted!

Drivers were placed in staggered rows on the grid and it took 3 successive tries for the race to be started. Nervousness among some drivers? Undoubtedly. Bas Lammers and Norman Nato monopolized the 1st row for Intrepid, but Jonathan Thonon (CRG / Maxter) took the lead, while a poor agreement at Intrepid caused Nato delays. Davide Fore (CRG / Maxter) took 4th position ahead of Anthony Abbasse (Sodi / TM), Arnaud Kozlinski and Gary Carlton on (CRG / Maxter), Nato and Tony Lavanant (Energy / TM).

Iglesias threatened Thonon, while Gary Catt (Tony Kart / Vortex) went off and lost a lot of time. For Tony Kart, Marco Ardigo and, later, Michael Schumacher were back in the pack trying to avoid contact. There was a dramatic event on lap 4: Thonon lost the lead along with his exhaust and he was forced to drop out. So that gave the lead to Lammers from Iglesias. Abbasse moved into 3rd place ahead of Fore and Kozlinski. Soon, Iglesias took command of the race. The 2 CRGs then regained the advantage on the Sodi. Koko was challenging and took Fore on the lap 9 to gain 3rd position.

There was a new development on the beginning of the last lap: Abbasse, in 5th, retired with mechanical problems, and held up the unfortunate Carlton. Iglesias took an unquestionable victory over his teammate Lammers, Kozlinski was 3rd and the 1st of the CRG / Maxters ahead of Nato who had managed to pass Fore. Lavanant advanced to 6th, Fritz Leesmann 7th, Ron White 8th, Marco Ardigo 9th and Sebastien Buemi 10th. Schumacher finished 12th from the 27th starting position, a good performance!
