Super Nats: Lammers on pole

Michael Schumacher challenged courageously alongside the current best drivers. He set the 27th fastest time.

The 2nd of the two sets of Super Pro qualifying was where the best time by far was set. It was not so much the condition of the track that changed, but the method of classification which placed the best performers on Thursday in Group A. Iglesias and Ardigo received heavy penalties for non-compliance.

Bas Lammers (Intrepid / TM) set the fastest time to end the session with a remarkable 41”248 ahead of Norman Nato (Intrepid / TM) by less than one hundredth. Jonathan Thonon and Davide Fore (CRG / Maxter) occupy the second row, ahead of Jérémy Iglesias (Intrepid / TM), a leader in his group and Anthony Abbasse (Sodi / TM) 6th and Arnaud Kozlinski (CRG / Maxter) 7th. Sebastien Buemi (Intrepid / TM) will start on the 4th row next to the world champion. Gary Carlton (CRG / Maxter) and Tony Lavanant (Energy / TM) completed the top 10.
