2009 Machismo 500 Enduro

The 2009 Machismo 500 is a 500 lap team endurance race spanning nearly 9 hours through the Las Vegas night on the .75 mile temporary circuit constructed just steps from the Rio Hotel and Casino doors.

By day the .75 mile SuperKarts!USA designed temporary circuit will host top shifterkart pilots from around the globe competing for top sprint racing honors, but as the sun sets and the lights come on, the track will host one of the most competitive and exciting arrive and drive endurance races in North America.

This years event will see an evolution from last year’s inaugural race, as an all new Le Mans Sports Car Racing inspired program will see multiple classes on track together for the sophomore edition of the event. Returning to the grid will be the ‘Sport Class’ which features a 270cc Honda Powered full-body kart, while the all new ‘Pro Class’ will make its debut in an open-wheel chassis powered by a 390cc Honda engine. Both classes will be on track together, however they will be scored separately to produce winners from each class.

The 2008 installment of the Machismo 500 saw racing stars Alex Tagliani, Boris Said, Joey Hand and others go wheel to wheel for the win as the sun came up on the famed ‘Vegas Strip’ in the background. The 2009 edition is sure to see more action, more teams, and more talent as this event becomes the premier endurance karting race in North America!
