With the fastest time and 4 consecutive victories in the heats, the Russian Danil Kvyat did not seem to have lost his talent in moving to Intrepid. Fast and reliable, he crushed the competition. Of his usual opponents, only Raffale Marciello (Tony Kart / Vortex) was on form with second. Nyck De Vries (Zanardi / Parilla) paid dearly for his retirement in the first heat by starting 13th. With the same problem, Carlos Sainz (Tony Kart / Vortex) was down in 24th place.

The second row will be occupied by Loris Spinelli (Intrepid / TM) and Jake Dennis (Topkart / Parilla), ahead of Michael Heche (Intrepid / TM) and Guilherme Silva (Tony Kart / Vortex). A beautiful French trio were in 9th to 11th: Hubert Anthoine (Tony Kart / Vortex), Mathieu Jaminet (Intrepid / TM) and Remy Deguffroy (Tony Kart / Vortex). Ocon Esteban (Exprit / Vortex) also did well, but he was penalized by a retirement which put him back to 18th. Finally Enzo Guibbert (FA Kart / Vortex) completed the tricolor quintet in 23rd position.

Jordan King (Energy / TM), Koki Hoshino and Sebastian Bedoret (Kosmic / Vortex) earned their place in the final through the repechage, in which Kevin Susilo (DR / Parilla) received the 5th place synonymous with qualification.
