Madness in the KF2 Prefinal! It was impossible to account for all the action, both lead changes and overtaking moves were numerous. Guillaume De Ridder (Kosmic / Vortex) started in front. Sébastien Bailly (Tony Kart / Vortex) struggled with Dane Smith (Nowa / Parilla), but the threat soon came from Vincent Fraïsse (Intrepid / TM). Bailly took the lead, De Ridder yielded to Fraïsse. In 4th, Smith was then attacked by Bluy (Tony Kart / Vortex) and Réguillon (Sodi / Parilla). Later, Paul-Loup Chatin (Energy / TM) recovered vigorously.

Fraïsse / Bailly, Bailly / Fraïsse, the duel was magnificent, but Réguillon, in 3rd, was mixed in with the story. The Sodi driver attempted to pass, but in the confusion, Bailly went off onto the grass causing a spin! He started off again a long way back. Fraïsse took the opportunity to get away and Chatin caught up with the bunch, ahead of Bluy and Réguillon. After a good fight, De Ridder took Chatin. Réguillon’s race was well worth watching.

Bluy and Réguillon found an opening on De Ridder at the end of the race. With two laps left, Réguillon took 3rd place from Bluy. Fraïsse won the race 1.4” ahead of the surprising Chatin. Réguillon was 3rd, Bluy 4th and De Ridder 5th. Bailey got the 11th place. The final is unlikely to be monotonous …
