SG FORMULA : the history, the present and the future

SG Formula is delighted to see that one of its former protégés has reached the top grade. However, the team has good reason to believe that Romain Grosjean won’t be the only one. So now is a good time to learn a little more about the team that nurtured the talent of this brilliant new Renault F1 driver.

French outfit SG Formula is in the running for the Formula Renault 2.0 Eurocup title with its driver Jean-Eric Vergne, who is a member of the Red Bull Junior Team. The team regularly puts three or four drivers in the Top 10 in this keenly-contested category. SG Formula trains Toyota Driver Program drivers in the fast and furious Formula 3 Euro Series. The team already has a podium place to its credit with rookie driver Andrea Caldarelli. Last but not least, the KMP Group / SG Formula pairing notched up their first podium place in the Formula Renault 3.5 Series in only their fifth outing in the category. That’s the latest news. However, this is by no means the first blood the team has drawn under the stewardship of Stéphane Guérin.
