Anthony Abbasse (Sodi/TM) followed Norman Nato (Intrepid/TM) at the start of the KZ2 prefinal and tried his luck but in vain. Over the laps, Nato widened the gap. There was an exciting duel between Thomas Mich (Birel/TM) and Pierre Ragues (Sodi/TM) for 3rd place. Pierre Etienne Chaumat (Energy/Maxter) retired in mid-race. Eric Ramon (Sodi/TM) was installed in 5th position, ahead of David Paul (Tony Kart/TM), Emilien Grosso (PCR/Pavesi) and Mathias Gallepe (Sodi/Maxter). There was a dramatic event on the last lap: Nato suddenly lost performance and Abbasse got what he wanted, the opportunity to rob him of the lead. Ragues resisted the threat from Mich and kept third by 3 milliseconds.
