World Podium for CRG in KF2

Young Belgian driver Stoffel Vandoorne showed an impressive performance at Alcaniz on his CRG/Maxter, though the World Cup for KF2 had not started ideally for VDK Team driver. After a good 14th place in timed practice, Vandoorne received a penalty in one of the four qualifying heats that slowed down his progress. He qualified 22nd and went on the attack already in the pre-final, where he recovered as many as seven places.

More motivated than ever at the start of the final, Stoffel exploited at best the potential of his kart, showing a long series of fast laps and passes. In the final lap, he was at the right place, at the right time and profited from an unexpected opportunity offered to him by the leaders: a sensational second place, which rewards him for both his performances and his tenacity.
