Although Matteo Vigano won an undisputed pole position for the start of the pre-final in the KF2 World Cup at Alcaniz, the competition has been active, and the trio of Tiene, Smarrazzo and Da Luz is not far off. Mitchell confirmed his recent progress with 5th position ahead of Nortoft and Luciani. Michelle Gatting, in 8th, is ahead of Öberg. Chamberlain completed the top 10 ahead of Beretta, Maïsano and Basz. Moller-Madsen ranks 15th and De Ridder 17th. Réguillon qualified in 26th position and Chatin in 32nd. Bailly got in narrowly in last place.

Among the first non-qualifiers, there was D’Agosto, Johansson and Cooper. Kanamaru, Grenhagen, Vermeylen, Bluy and Luka also will not participate in the finals.

With this classification, the races in the afternoon ahead will be hotly disputed: the favorites well placed to compete at the front, very good drivers in mid-table desperate to go forward and other competitors boosted by the global challenge of the meeting. The cameras are working well, the skirmishes seem much less numerous and better disciplined as long as we remember it will never be perfect. We will probably soon see two high pressure races.

The weather may disrupt the event: the television weather reports show rain on the area, but the forecasts from the web are drier and the paddock is divided, probably according to individual preferences. The sky got progressively darker towards lunchtime with a sustained wind from the west. The start of the pre-final will be at 1515.
