The first 3 qualifying heats for the KF2 World Cup at Alcaniz have recently been completed under a blue sky. Local rumors of rain by noon were therefore unfounded, even if small clouds began to gather around the Aragon track. The starts have not been a particular problem and competitors tempted to push their comrades a little were quickly called to order by the stewards.

There were three distinguished winners this morning: Aniello Smarrazzo (Tony Kart / Vortex), Matteo Viganò (Birel / Parilla) and Felice Tiene (Kosmic / Vortex). David Da Luz (Zanardi / Parilla) finished 4th once and 2nd once in the wheeltracks of Tiene; the Portuguese driver is on form! Beretta, Gatting, Mitchell, and of course Giovinazzi and Maïsano have achieved excellent results. The French driver was pushed a bit while he was in front, but he preferred to back off to avoid losing all his chances.

Clement Bluy (Tony-Kart/Vortex) recovered from 34th to 16th in the first heat, but he knows it will not be easy to qualify. There was also a good recovery for Sébastien Bailly (Tony Kart / Vortex) after his penalty in timed practice. Paul-Loup Chatin (Tony-Kart/Vortex) is in a good position in 7th, while Loic Réguillon (Sodi / Parilla) has had difficulty in finding the right setup so far.

Some drivers are already well into their reserves of luck: Grenhagen and Wiman retired and Lock finished last in a heat.
