Free practice is in full swing at the Ciudad del Motor at Alcaniz for the KF2 World Cup. The weather conditions are difficult to manage as rain drenched the track briefly last night and affected the lap times. Everyone is preparing to face different situations and therefore, the times set during the sessions should more than ever be treated with care.
Following the 2 practice sessions on Friday morning, run on a dry track under a gradually lowering sky, Matteo Viganò (Birel / Parilla) was the overall fastest with 58,602 in the last laps of the last session. He was ahead of Michelle Gatting (Maddox / Vortex) who was constantly at the forefront. In the other group, the Spaniard Dani Julve Simon (Tony Kart / Vortex) took advantage of his good knowledge of the circuit to dominate his opponents by 2 tenths every time. Brandon Maisano (LH / Vortex) remained near the front with 2nd and 3rd fastest. Smarrazzo, Cooper, Johansson, Tiene, Da Luz, Moller-Madsen and Luka all seem to have mastered the tempo of the track.
