The stormy start to the 3rd qualifying heat for Super KF was costly for Renaudie and Vainio who hung on when the PDB driver was pushed suddenly at the first corner by Foster-Jones, himself seeming to be pushed by a red kart … Rowland held the lead as usual followed by Kunranta, De Brabander and Puhakka. Tereza Gromanova took 5th place from Parrott when Groman retired after a difficult parade lap.

Kunranta quickly took the advantage from Rowland on the next lap. Vainio retired. The trio in the lead were in the distance from the next group led by Puhakka from Parrott and Gromanova. Still 3rd, Rowland lost ground, while De Brabander drove in the wheeltracks of Kunranta. Puhakka closed on Rowland and took him on lap 11. Parrott did the same on the last lap. Finally the victory went to Kunranta ahead of De Brabander and Puhakka.

No pressure for the Finn Kunranta, who doesn’t seem to know the meaning of the word. Miika is going well and wants to at least be on the podium on Sunday. Yannick De Brabander was pleased to have solved his carb problems and took advantage of the heats to refine and development his equipment for the finals with the goal of being in front. He is not obsessed with taking the title. Richard Bradley was also very relaxed: he is delighted with the performance of his new Maddox chassis. Given his place in the championship, he is only aiming for two good races on Sunday.
