Felice Tiene (Kosmic / Vortex) has been completely successful in timed practice at Essay, good news after the disappointment of last week at Salbris. The other good news is that a French driver is in 2nd place, the excellent Clement Bluy (Tony Kart / Vortex) only 2 hundredths from the fastest time. These two drivers didn’t go out in the second session.

Nicolaj Moller-Madsen (Energy / TM) was the fastest from his team in 3rd position ahead of a surprisingly little-known Dutch driver in CIK racing, Kilian Bouman (PCR / Parilla) who has moved up from Junior Rotax and KF3 in Germany and the Benelux. Basz, Grenhagen, Johansson, Smarrazzo, Camplese and Rossler were also in the top 10.

Chris Lock was the fastest British driver in 15th position, ahead of the Portuguese Da Luz. Vigano was 22nd, Cooper 24th, Bailly 25th and Reguillon 29th. Many drivers seem to be classified much lower than their talent would suggest and will have to fight hard in the qualifying heats, while the weather forecast for Saturday afternoon will be more suitable for frogs.
