The pole in KZ2 went to Dutchman Jorrit Pex (CRG / TM) with 48’101 set in the 1st session, which would have placed him in 12th position in KZ1, no less! Britain’s Jack Hawksworth took second place for Energy Corse, 5 tenths faster than his team-mate Hansen racing in KZ1 …

With a remarkable sense of family, Yard Pex took 3rd position ahead of the championship leader, Patrik Hajek (Tony Kart / Vortex). Marco Zanchetta (DR / Maxter) was 5th and Angelo Lombardo (Tony Kart / Vortex) 6th. Eric Ramon (Sodi / TM) was the fastest French driver with a remarkable 7th place, ahead of Alvarez, De Conto and Piccoli.

Some drivers who are highly ranked in the championship could not shine in qualifying and will need to fight hard in the heats: Lazzaro Feri (Tony Kart / TM) 15th, David De Luchi (Intrepid / TM) 16th and Luca Tilloca (MAF / Maxter) 26th are in this category. Out of the French, Clément Da Silva (Birel / TM) posted an interesting 13th fastest time, William Benedetti (CRG / TM) confirmed his 22nd ranking, but Christophe Benoit (Birel / Maxter) was in 55th and Anthony Garbarino (RK / TM) finished the group in 57th.
