There was a relatively quiet start for the younger candidates for the European Championship, apart from some drivers going over the grass. Carlos Sainz didn’t miss his chance to get out of the reach of his attackers. The chasing pack formed, including Tenorio, Megens, Dennis, Hiltbrand and Jaminet. Jake Dennis moved quickly into second place, and Mathieu Jaminet moved between 4th and 5th and then ultimately took 3rd. Behind that the rocket Baron began to fire from 16th on the grid. By mid-race, Alex had already come back to 7th and continued his celebration to finish 4th!

Gerard Barrabeig was not to be outdone with his return from 24th to 8th. There was a big disappointment for Hiltbrand, who was literally pushed out on lap 13 when he was 4th: there was everything to do for the young Spanish hope. There was a rout in the French camp behind the two drivers above: John Filippi was 17th, ahead of Pascal Belmaaziz, Guibbert was 24th, Deguffroy 25th, Gasly 26th, Carel 32nd.

The victory went to Sainz from Dennis and Jaminet.
