De Ridder, Barbarin and Vermeylen – the trio at the front of the KF2 pre-final calmly remained in position for almost the whole race. De Ridder, the undisputed leader on the still-wet track, while the rain slowly moved away, won the race by 2” ahead of Barbarin who resisted the threat from Vermeylen.

There was a good recovery from Bailly, who started in 14th position, and who overtook on every lap to finish 4th brilliantly. Reguillon could have followed the same path, but lost 2 places near the end (7th). Bluy and Chatin finished 5th and 6th.

The mystery thickens … Brandon Maisano went back a few places at the start of the race, but we have seen his efforts, dealing with a special rolling chassis and “helped” by a struggling engine, only to finish 14th, 3 places behind his team-mate Fraïsse. What’s happening at Intrepid France?
