Parrott’s return

Simo Puhakka (PCR / TM) made the best start in Race 2 for Super KF ahead of Robert Foster-Jones (FA Kart / Vortex), Yannick De Brabander (Intrepid / TM) and Andrea Dale (CRG / TM). But things changed quickly and, before the end of the first lap, De Brabander dropped to 5th behind the incoming Vainio, while Foster-Jones was back down to 6th. The strong men at the start of this race were Puhakka, Dale and De Brabander.

In 6th, Jason Parrott (Birel / TM) was very fast and after his problems with the exhaust valve in Race 1, he was on a charge. He was already in 3rd position on the 4th lap. Florian Alfano (Maddox / Maxter) was in the thick of it in 5th position until lap 5, then he launched a bold attack on De Brabander and went flying. De Brabander also dropped down the standings. Coming from the back of the grid with Dunlop tyres on, Luca Giacomello (Zanardi / Parilla) was already placed 6th, while Vainio (Maranello / Maxter) inexorably lost ground.

On lap 7, Parrott took control of the race, with Puhakka second, and Dale 3rd. In 4th Renaudie was back with a kart that behaved better now. Parrott gained time strongly, but Foster-Jones stopped with an engine failure. A few small drops of rain begin to fall – was the last half of the race going to be disrupted?

Puhakka could not keep up, and Dale no longer figured, thereby benefiting Renaudie (Gillard / Parilla), in second, and Groman (Maranello / Maxter) in 3rd. A new competitor moved into the top 5 on lap 12, the Birel of Miika Kunranta. Richard Bradley (Maddox / Maxter) was also fast. On lap 15, Parrott was a strong leader, Renaudie was 2nd, Groman 3rd, Kunranta 4th and Bradley 5th.

Renaudie lost performance in the rain, which was a bit heavier at the end of the race, which benefited Kunranta, in second and Groman 3rd.
