Foster-Jones stayed in the lead at the restart, followed by Puhakka, Groman, Vainio, Renaudie and Dale, who was soon overtaken by the devilish Belgian, De Brabander. Vainio gradually lost places, apparently the victim of a mechanical problem. Behind Foster-Jones, Puhakka and Groman, 4th place was the subject of a battle between Renaudie, De Brabander and Parrott.

With 2 laps to go, Puhakka took advantage of Foster-Jones, and De Brabander seized 3rd place. Renaudie was losing ground but recovered on the last lap. At present the start procedure is under investigation by the Stewards.
