The heats this Sunday morning somewhat upset the hierarchy of 125cc gearbox. By not even completing a lap of the third heat, Jonathan Thonon lost his advantage from Saturday and fell to 14th place in the intermediate rankings. Bas Lammers also paid the price of retiring in heat 3 and ended up 12th. Jérémy Iglesias took the opportunity to take the lead, on equal points with the Briton Jack Hawksworth. Thomas Knopper remained in 3rd position, while Alessandro Manetti completed the second row. Marco Ardigo leapt from 41st in timed practice to 8th position.

Davide Fore is in 22nd and Gary Catt in 24th, but their potential is clear as evidenced by their respective rises through the rankings. Thomas Mich and Norman Nato just qualified while Roberto Toninelli and Arnaud Kozlinski are to go through the repechage, as will Gianni Gazzurelli.
