Super KF Semi-Final for Catt

The cunning Ben Hanley (Maranello / Maxter) made a strong start, helped by Gary Catt (Tony Kart / Vortex). The three CRG / Maxters of Thonon, Kozlinski and Fore followed closely. Kozlinski rapidly passed Thonon and quickly closed on Catt. In 3rd Thonon retired with a mechanical problem on the lap where Kozlinski launched an attack on Catt to gain second position. But Catt immediately reacted with some very late braking and went up the inside of the French driver at the hairpin next to the grid. Fore shed Libor Toman (Birel / Parilla) and returned to attack his teammate. Foster-Jones (FA Kart / Vortex) fought for 6th with Sauro Cesetti and Toman (Birel / Parilla), who climbed through the field well. Next were Tom Grice (Birel / Parilla), Alessandro Bressan (Kosmic / Vortex) and Marco Ardigo (Tony Kart / Vortex).

Shortly after mid-race, Catt passed Hanley, at the same turn, but he didn’t let it go and threw all his energy into the battle. It got a bit confused between Hanley, Kozlinski and Fore. Cesetti took 5th position ahead of Toman, Foster-Jones and Ardigo, who started 18th, Grice, Vainio, Bressan and Oliver Rowland (LH / Maxter). The positions didn’t change at the front and Catt won the race ahead of Hanley, Fore and Kozlinski.
