Marco Ardigò was a victim of a spectacular accident in the first heat of the two for KZ2. Rolling after a skirmish in front of him, the world champion is recovering from a pain his leg. Rick Dreezen, starting on pole, cannot resist the attacks from Jonathan Thonon who won the race. Andrea Benedetti finished ahead of Thomas Mich in 4th.
Ardigo, hobbling, still took the start of the second heat for KZ2. Andrea Benedetti made an excellent start, but Jonathan Thonon took the lead at the second corner. In 3rd, Joey Hanssen resisted the pressure from Rick Dreezen. Later, Tony Lavanant started to attack. Then there was a good fight between Thomas Mich, Manuel Renaudie and the PCR driver. Manu managed to take the 5th place at the end. Thonon won ahead of Dreezen, Benedetti and Lavanant. Ardigo came back to 15th place.
Thonon (CRG / Maxter) will start from pole in the prefinal tomorrow.
