Following his successes at the WSK, at the French Championship and at the qualifying round of the European Championship, Brandon Maisano wanted to conquer the European title at the wheel of his Intrepid-TM from LM Karting Team. After a good 6th place at the end of the pre-final, he was still one of the candidates to victory, but an accident forced him to abandon the race. Pity, because the Intrepid France driver had just set the best lap time at this moment of the race. On the following lap, it was Michaël Heche’s turn to set the lap record time of the final with 57”603. Starting 33rd, the Swiss driver staged a superb recovery and finished 8th. Given his competitiveness, he could have won a podium, had he not been forced to abandon in the pre-final!
