In 2008 there has not been a weekend without rain, most lately in Portugal for the European Championship. Despite the summer season the conditions were not pleasant for the first day of practice at the Kartodromo Internacional de Braga. A little over 20 degrees C, there was drizzleand the picture was hardly exciting on Thursday, July 31.Drivers have not rushed out on the track and many are still at the bottom of the rankings.

However, there is room for hope for the rest of the weekend. At theend of the day, the arrival of the Eurosport crew coincided for once with the appearance of the sun … The forecasts seem to agree that
there will be no more rain, temperatures gradually increasing until it reaches 30 degrees C Sunday, and importantly there will be sunshine from Saturday.

Competitors will be able to focus on tyre issues (KF2 hard and KF1very soft) or on dilemmas posed by the clutches. Let’s hope they do not forget the racing …
