KZ2 final for Ardigo

There was an explosive front row including Alessandro Manetti and Marco Ardigo for the KZ2 final, the last race of the weekend. The tarmac at Sarno was still hot. Manetti stayed in the lead while Forè tried to take Ardigo, but he could not pass. Jonathan Thonon was fourth, but the surprise came from the fifth placed Alessandro Piccini! Kozlinski retired on the first lap.

Turn was dramatic: Manetti was dethroned by Ardigo and Forè! Manetti then regained second followed by Thonon. Dreezen follows Forè in fifth position, as Piccini had retired. Giulietti was sixth, Benedetti seventh, Cesetti eighth. Benjamin Bailly moved into the top ten this time.

Lap 5: The first four were just a handkerchief apart; anything can happen. Renaudie was 13th, Laudato 14th and Mich 16th. Tony Lavanant in 18th achieved good times but Ardigo and Manetti alternated fastest laps. Forè passed Thonon on the seventh lap. Ardigo moved to seven tenths ahead of the Maxter. Thonon attacked Forè and Giulietti began to threaten Dreezen.

On the tenth lap, Thonon passes Forè and Manetti and ran one to two tenths faster than the leader Ardigo. The Tony Kart driver was also close to posting the fastest time in response to Thonon. Manetti went off the track on the 13th lap. Ardigo won the final in front of Thonon and Forè, then came Dreezen in fourth, Giulietti fifth, Cesetti sixth, Benedett seventhi, Bailly eighth. Laudato recovered to the 12th position and Mich finished 13th, Lavanant 17th and Pierre Ragues 24th.
