Manetti and Dreezen occupied a 100% CRG front row for the last KZ1 heat. Manetti flew while Dreezen’s start was average, allowing his team-mate Kievitsbosch past. Mich was already fourth and then was passed by Thonon, putting four CRGs at the front of the race.
Dreezen, then Thonon took Kievitsbosch on the second lap. Gary Carlton took advantage of Ragues for sixth position. Thonon passed Dreezen into second. Ragues was pushed by Bleek and lost five places at once. On the fourth lap, Thonon was with Manetti and passed without hesitation. Carlton retired. On the last lap, Dreezen, who had been close for some time, managed to take Manetti.
A sparkling victory for Thonon ahead of Dreezen and Manetti. Kievitsbosch was fourth and Mich fifth.
