Jansen ahead of Hawksworth in Qualifying

The weather was relatively mild this morning at Mariembourg. The KZ2s began their two timed sessions under a grey sky but with no rain, while the track was still wet from the night before. Some drivers decided not to participate in the first session to save their tyres.

In Group 1, the gap between the two sessions reached eight seconds, whic did not prevent Kevin Hansen (NL, Energy/TM) from taking the best time, 56″307. Tony Lavanant (FR, Energy/TM) took his time going out, but managed to post the second fastest time at the end f the session. Simon Solgat (DE, Birel/TM) took third ahead of Kenneth Ostvold (NO, Energy/TM) and Yard Pex (NL, CRG/TM).

 

The second group was dominated from the start by Jack Hawksworth (GB, Gillard/TM), who inproved by nearly a second from his initial time of 56″309. Joffrey Demanse (FR, PCR/TM) was second fastest, followed by Kevin Leijtens (NL, Energy/TM) who had a ong battle with Mathias Gallepe (FR, Energy/TM). Paul Louveau (FR, Tonykart/TM) took fifth place.

 

The last group were further away from the others. Tommaso Marconi (IT, First/TM) posted the fastest time with 56″397, ahead of Joey Hansen (NL, PCR/TM) and Angelo Lombardo (IT, Tonykart/Vortex).

 

When the groups are combined, Jansen is on pole ahead of Hawksworth and Demanse.
