International Event FIA Karting

Davide Fore (IT, Maranello/Maxter) posted 54″117 in his group, mor than two tenths ahead of Armand Convers (FR, PCR/TM) and Alessandro Bressan (IT, Kosmic/Vortex). Jack Te Braak (NL, Zanardi/Parilla) was determined and emerged ahead of Marco Ardigo (IT, Tonykart/Vortex) and Yannick De Brabander (BE, Intrepid/TM). Arnaud Kozlinski (FR, CRG/Maxter) followed Jeremy Iglesias (ES, Intrepid/TM) in eighth position.

Due to a very light rain at the start, the second group was significantly slower, but not enough to qualify for the 101% rule which offsets major discrepancies by placing drivers in alternate order of groups. Sauro Cesetti (IT, Birel/TM) was fastest at 54″658, which ranked only 14th overall! He was followed in the group by Nikolaj Bollingtoft (DK, Kosmic/Vortex), Ramon Kuipers (NL, Gillard/Parilla), Libor Toman (CZ, Birel/Parilla) and Anthony Abbasse (FR, Sodikart/Parilla). Because of this gap to the second group, Gary Catt (GB, Tonykart/Vortex), the current championship leader, was only 24th, Jean-Philippe Guignet (FR, CRG/Maxter) 26th, Will Stevens (GB, Tonykart/Vortex) 27th.

Tomorrow promises to be eventful and there should be good recoveries in the races.
