Results of the repechages

As always the repechages haven’t offered a second chance to everyone, and the battles were numerous.

In KZ2 Jack Hawksworth quickly took the lead, while Gilberto Massenati in second received a ten-second penalty. Two successive skirmishes dismissed the chances of Gary Carlton, Benjamin Bailly and Pierre Etienne Chaumat who ended up in the crash nets… Starting 22nd, Alessandro Manetti came through the field to win the race ahead of Hawksworth, Frech, Piccoli, Frasnelli (who also made a good comeback) and Ostvold who took the last final position after a battle with Jansen and Panackova.

KF2 was also quite a spectacle. Aniello Smarazzo took the lead beating Leopold Ringbom and Giaguaro Nero. Damien Dupont quickly moved closer to Marc Otero and Laura Koivuluoma and quickly took fourth place. The end of the race was dominated by Tom Grice who was almost five tenths faster on each lap and took Koivuluoma on the last lap to finish behind Otero.

Alban Varutti had difficulties starting in the last repechage which was for KF1. Patrick Fontner led initially then gave way to Alessandro Bressan Gianni Gazurelli lost places gradually. Florian Alfano was placed in third, well ahead of the recovering Varutti. Alfano overtook Fontner to take second and David Alabart and Vittorio Mangili completed the six qualified drivers.
