Frijns led at the start in the KF2 prefinal while several drivers went off at the hairpin. Charles Lacaze watched the rest of the race rom the grass along with Bailly. Kenny Vermeylen fought for second with Stoffels Van Doorne before losing ground. Flavien Bouzana and William Benedetti were neck and neck, third and fourth before Guillaume Barbarin joined in the fight.

Loic Reguillon pulled in to the pits on lap six. Bouzana attacked Vermeylen but Kenny countered him immediately. On the next lap it was Barbarin who attempted to pass the Tecno driver but without success. Van Doorne resurfaced to take fourth position ahead of Benedetti and Bouzana. Vermeylen closed on Frijns and took the lead on lap seven.

A few laps from the end, there was a patrol of six drivers competing for the race lead. On lap 11 there were upsets – Frijns against Van Doorne, Bouzana, Barbarin and Vermeylen. On the last lap Benedetti was up the inside of Frijns who tried to defend but Benedetti mad it stick on the fast righthander, which was impressive. Then Van Doorne made an optimistic move at the hairpin, taking out Benedetti and Frijns.
Barbarin inherited the victory, ahead of Bouzana, Vermeylen and Benedetti, and then Kevin Mourey who drove a good race to fifth in front of Joffrey Rouchy.
